The cards illustrate named military types including hussars, dragoons, cuirassiers, uhlans, jäger, infantrymen, artillery officers, generals, Highlanders, lancers, Cossacks and guards units. The artwork is finely detailed, with mounted troops, swords, rifles, helmets, tunics, field equipment and national uniform distinctions clearly shown.
