The Sunpak Auto 383 Super electronic flash is a reliable flash unit primarily designed for film cameras. The tilt-swivel-bounce head offers flexible positioning for creative lighting effects. The thyristor-controlled light ensures accurate flash exposure.  It can be used with a "hot shoe" mount or with the PC cable (included but not shown) on cameras without a hot shoe. 

This was pretty much Sunpak's competition for the Vivitar 283, but with the bonus of a full swivel head.

I list this as being for film cameras; you would want be sure that the trigger voltage was okay if you plan on using it on a DSLR.  

It's a workhorse, with lots of life left.
