Swarovski 5817 Cabochon crystal pearls in Crystal Bronze are genuine Austrian-made pearls with a crystal core and a coated pearl surface. Available in 6mm, 8mm and 10mm in retail packs of 4, 6 and 8 and wholesale packs of 250. The hole is drilled part way into the pearl rather than through it, so it seats onto a peg or post and is fixed with adhesive. That leaves the surface unbroken on the visible side, which is what a pendant end or an earring post needs, but it does mean these cannot be strung through. Crystal Bronze is a deep warm brown-gold with a muted metallic lustre. Suited to earrings, pendant ends, ring settings and any finding that seats onto a peg or post.

The Swarovski 5817 Cabochon has a domed face over a flat reverse, so it stands half the height of a full round of the same diameter. That shallower profile lets a pearl sit close against a ring shank, a cufflink face or a flat panel without standing proud enough to catch.
