They come from private households and are a piece of “contemporary history”.
Of course we try to find ones that are in good condition Booklets/catalogs - but yellowing, small tears, a (torn) subscription sticker or a slight reading bulge and other usual defects of normal "use" are part of the originality of the magazine and can hardly be avoided given the age of the issues.
