2025-26 Panini Signature Series Basketball gives a long-running autograph concept within the Donruss flagship brand a chance to shine on its own for the first time in the basketball card industry.
Because Topps took over exclusive licensing rights for NBA cards this season, these cards are not fully licensed, so they only include player names and team cities instead of full logos and team nicknames. But Panini seems to have been mindful of its limitations, utilizing lots of close-up portrait photography throughout the product.
Collectors can expect one slabbed autograph, two base parallels, one insert, and one base card in every hobby box of this premium product.
Signature Series first appeared as a staple in the trading card industry with the 1997 Donruss Signature Series Baseball set. It’s been used by Donruss, Playoff, and Panini in several ways ever since but hasn’t been a standalone product since 2016 Donruss Signature Series Football.
The base set (/199) will be comprised of current stars, rookies, retried greats, and up-and-coming amateurs signed to NIL deals with Panini.
All parallels will be numbered to /99 or fewer.
Collectors will find one slabbed autograph in every box, and all signed cards are numbered to /49 or fewer.
Among players collectors can find are rookies VJ Edgecombe, Jeremiah Fears, Tre Johnson, Carter Bryant, Hugo Gonzalez, Derik Queen, Cedric Coward, and Hansen Yang, and stars and legends like Cade Cunningham, Damian Lillard, Ja Morant, James Harden, Chris Webber, Dirk Nowitzki, Kevin Garnett, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Ray Allen, Allen Iverson, Derrick Rose, and Steve Nash.
Leading NIL prospects include Darius Acuff Jr., Neoklis Avdalas, Braylon Mullins, Nikolas Khamenia, Azzi Fudd, Sarah Strong, Olivia Mills, Lauren Betts, Tyran Stokes, Babatunde Oladotun, Christian Collins, Jordan Smith Jr., and Miikka Muurinen.
Standard Rookie Patch Autographs are horizontal issues with an oversized patch and hard-signed signature.
First-year talent remains in focus in Rookie Endorsements, another horizontal set that features on-card autographs.
Signature Pride cards include a hard-signed autograph and the flag of a player’s home country.
Made To Frame pays tribute to players whose jersey fans would want hanging on their wall. These cards combine two small photos, a mock-up of a player’s jersey, and a hard-struck signature all inside a framed shadowbox-style design.
Cover Athletes are designed as signed magazine covers.
The Decision features players making their choice about where to spend the next step in the career, utilizing a line made famous by LeBron James back in 2010.
Inserts fall once per box, and concepts include Class Masters, Perpetual Talents, and Profiles.
Much like the Cover Athlete Autographs, the Signature Headlines insert draws inspiration from print media, with a design reminiscent of a newspaper page.
The popular Kaboom SSPs make the jump here. The long-running insert has been in play since 2013-14 and always thrill collectors. Parallels include Gold (/10) and Black (1/1).

The fine print: Please read the entire listing before purchasing. All cards shipped via USPS, FedEx, or UPS. Hits will be in top-loaders, rookies will at minimum be sleeved, all other cards will ship in a team bag. Per eBay rules, there are no refunds once the live break starts. If you are unable to view the live break, the video will be uploaded on YouTube shortly after completion. If a card is pulled that has multiple players on it, whoever has 51% ownership of the teams will win the card. If nobody has 51% of the teams associated with the card, we will use random.org at the end of the break to determine the winner. This listing is not for a specific pack, box or case of cards or memorabilia. There is No Guarantee we will pull a specific card or player. Pictures in this listing may include images that represent cards or other items which may be available overall in the live break, but do not offer, promise, guarantee or otherwise imply the specific card(s) or other item(s) will be pulled in this break or any future breaks. If there is a card pulled that does not have an auction spot, we will use random.org to randomize the card to all auction spots for this break. If a retired player is pulled, we will award it to the team on the card. If no team is on the card, it will be the jersey they are wearing in the picture, then the team they spent time with the longest (if it comes to that). All payments will be through eBay Payments. If a buyer fails to pay on time, their team(s) will be offered up to the group before the start of the break. In the event of a power loss and/or loss of internet service, the break will be put on pause and communication will go out to each winner about when the break picks back up. Refunds are not issued in this case. Bakersfield Hobby cannot assure the claims made by the product companies on their hit guarantees. For instance: If a specific brand claims that there are two autographs per box and we only pull one, this is not grounds for a refund from Bakersfield Hobby.
