A vintage intricately woven split bamboo "gubu" fish trap basket from the Bontok people. They were used for catching small fish in the rice paddies.
Due to its age, condition, scarcity, unique shape, and amazing dark brown colored patina - it is perfect for a serious collector and will add interest to any décor. Purchased in the 1960s in the Philippines – and have been part of a professors collection. Use in a variety of interior spaces from Japandi, Rustic... to Wabi Sabi, Coastal Modern or Organic-Inspired.
