This is an insert / organizer for Root. It supports premium sleeves (Dragon Shield clear matte shown on most cards in the photos), vertical storage, has no lid lift, and was designed to aid setup and teardown. There appear to be different sizes of boxes and different meeple thicknesses throughout the world. This insert is designed for boxes with an internal footprint of about 280 mm x 213 mm and a meeple thickness of just under 10 mm, such as those produced by Leder Games for sale in the United States.

Expansion Box
Dedicated holders for the main card decks (base, Exiles, and Squires), with room to add frog cards when playing with the Lilypad Diaspora.
--A smaller item tray holds all the items in the order shown on the game boards. I also added slots on each side to hold the reminder tokens. This tray generally fits over the designated item areas on the game boards.
--A larger item tray holds the smaller item tray plus additional items and ruins. Because different items can be needed based on different setup conditions, the items are sorted by type to make them easy to find.
--Two card rails. These replace the card rail that comes with the Riverfolk expansion. They are longer, so they hold more cards, and the slot is positioned to make them more stable than the design on the stock Leder rail. If you have extra card rails from the original KS version of Root, you will need to store those elsewhere (such as with the faction boards). I provided two rails here to show the card offer from the Riverfolk Company and to hold the cards for the Mechanical Marquise, if you are using that portion of the Riverfolk expansion.
--A dedicated landmark tray to hold the landmark and related cards, plus some map-specific tokens like the raft.
--A tray for the deluxe resin clearing markers.
--A tray for the battle dice, advanced setup cards, and slots for spare tokens. This is where you can store your remaining duplicate round and square cardboard tokens.
--A map setup tray to hold the remaining map-specific setup items, such as the blocked path markers, flooded zone markers, and cardboard resin clearing tokens. This tray also holds the scenario tokens and has room for additional miscellaneous component storage.

Hirelings Box
Four trays to hold the hirelings, cards, and related components. There’s no need to get out this box if you are not playing with the hirelings. You can place the hirelings in any order you’d like, but the wells on the trays have been sized to separate the components as listed below and shown in the photos.
--Hireling cards in premium sleeves, end-of-turn markers, control dice, a small tray that can be placed on or near the board to hold control tokens, the Vault Keepers, and the Spring Uprising with their uprising die
--The Exile and club tokens, Sunny Advocates, Furious Protector, Corvid Spies, Riverfolk Flotilla, and Warm Sun Prophets
--Sunward Expedition and foothold tokens, River Roamers and lily pad tokens, Flame Bearers, and Popular Band
--Last Dynasty, Forest Patrol, Prosperous Farmers and farm tokens, and Highway Bandits
