Up for sale is a rare vintage Amplifier Corporation of America “Fuzz King” germanium fuzz pedal, dating from the 1960s.
This is an early 1.5V battery-powered, positive-ground germanium fuzz circuit with a raw, primitive, very vintage character. It is working and sounds great!.
This is not a polite modern fuzz. It has that early, crude, germanium thing — raw, splattery, compressed, and capable of gated textures. The fuzz control can move from a more usable vintage fuzz sound into a more choked and compressed character (Think Neil Young).
This pedal is vintage and has been serviced/repaired.
Please understand this is a primitive 1960s germanium fuzz circuit — not a modern quiet pedal.
Vintage wear, age, oxidation, and signs of prior work are present. Please see all photos carefully. Interior photos are included so buyers can see the circuit, components, battery area, and repairs.
