This is an antique late 19th century Victorian primitive painted wood rocking chair.

Overall, it measures 16 1/4 inches tall x 8 3/8 inches wide x 11 1/8 inches deep (41.2 cm, 21.2 cm, 28.2 cm). The seat itself measures 6 inches wide in the front, 5 1/4 inches wide in the back and is 7 inches deep (15.2 cm, 13.3 cm, 17.8 cm).

The chair has a spindle back. The seat is held on with brass studs. It has its original paint, though probably about half of it has chipped off, except on the seat itself. Personally I think that gives it a beautiful old world look.

It is very solid and sturdy and rocks well!

It weighs a little over 1 pound (464 g).
