A guaranteed authentic and rare antique Japanese 10 sen coin dated Showa 18th year (1943) in very fine almost uncirculated condition. This coin was minted in aluminum to help Japan in its WW2 efforts to save precious war metals. It displays the imperial mon (family crest) of a 16 peddle chrysanthemum and on the opposite a cherry blossom and the words "Dai Nippon" (Great Japan) with the dates: Show 18th year. On the obverse is the 10 sen value.
Overall, with the exception of some minor signs of age(warm aged patina), this coin is in very fine condition with minimal wear, a very clear strike and having all original patina . Measures 7/8" in diameter (2.2 cm).
