This is a wonderful find for the dog lover! This beautiful fine porcelain, footed mug was made in England during the 1830-1840s period. Although unmarked as was common at this time, the quality speaks of a quality manufacturer. The central scene is transfer printed in a sepia colour and shows a mother spaniel type dog surrounded by her four mischievous puppies. At each side of this central scene are cornflower blue reserves.
Size: Height 2 3/4 inch by diameter 3 inch (7 cm by 7.5 cm)
