Wilson Jack Kramer Autograph wooden tennis racquet, U.S.-made Speed Flex Fibre Face model. Vintage signature racquet with laminated wood frame, leather grip, and original stringing. Displays as an honest vintage piece with plenty of character wear.
About the Racquet
Wilson's Jack Kramer Autograph is the best-known and best-selling wood tennis racquet ever produced. Endorsed by Jack Kramer — 1947 Wimbledon and US Championships singles winner — the model ran in Wilson's catalog from 1949 through the early 1980s. The cream throat panel carries the "Wilson" signature, the printed "The Jack Kramer Autograph" script, and the gold-and-brown crown medallion. The shaft reads "SPEED FLEX FIBRE FACE" along the frame edge and "Endorsed by JACK KRAMER for Championship Play" on the handle throat. Stamped "Made in U.S.A." below the Wilson "W" on the shaft. Grip tag reads "LIGHT 4¾".
Condition
Cosmetically well-worn. The cream throat panel shows brown staining and soiling across its surface. Leather grip wrap is worn with edge peeling and light separation near the Wilson shaft emblem but fully adhered and intact. The laminated wood frame has no cracks, head and throat joinery is tight. Original stringing is intact with tension loss and typical age-darkening. Octagonal Wilson "W" butt cap is worn but legible.
