Here is a wonderful antique, late 19th century, brass button.  It is a design called "handkerchief corners," in this case the handkerchief corner design is molded into the brass. It depicts an ivy plant growing on a fence and has a single steel cut embellishment. It measures 5/8" in diameter: NBS size small. It is in excellent condition. A very impressive and collectible antique button!
