Golfer Chalkware Michael McKie 1973. This item is perfect for the golfer or the collector. It was made by the artist Michael McKie.  His primary works feature goofy, comical figures, often with exaggerated features, that a contemporary newspaper article cited in a product description described as "downright ugly". Celebrities, including Muhammad Ali, were known to own his caricatures. McKie invented a formula that made his chalkware more ceramic-like, which contributed to the durability of his sculptures, allowing for long, unbroken limbs. Vintage pieces by Michael McKie are considered significant and sought after by collectors, with some early and rare works commanding high prices. Normal wear with age.
