1850 FINE ANTIQUE CASED DAGUERREOTYPE PHOTOGRAPH - NAMED JOHN JOWETT

Circa 1840's to 1850's, 1/6th plate cased Daguerreotype of a gentleman. Named John Jowett (married Elizabeth Slack), attribution based on a similar image it came with.

Presented in its original red morocco patterned leather case. Two brass catch working well.

In good condition, case with small leather loss around one catch, some wear to velvet inside lid, hinge good, some oxidation around edges of portrait, other minor marks or wear from age and handling.

Case 9.5cm x 8.2cm. Approx.
