The piece is crafted from durable, salt-glazed ironstone, featuring a classic "Wheat Ears" pattern that symbolizes harvest and abundance—a popular decorative motif of the era. The body is characterized by a crisp, textured "orange peel" finish that provides a tactile background for the raised stalks of wheat. Topping the piece is an original, unmarked pewter lid featuring a graceful swan finial, which serves as both a functional thumb-lift and an elegant decorative accent.
