Here is an amazining antique fabric button.  I am not well versed in fabric buttons, but it appears to be very tiny glass seed beads -- they are so tiny, I can't prove they are glass, but I don't know what else they would be.  The design might be a flower -- like a tulip-- but it is very stylized.  The back is fine mesh over something wooly. No actual shank -- the thread would have just gone through the back of the button itself. It measures 1-1/8" in diameter; NBS size medium. Excellent condition.  A proud old fabric button!
