We are pleased to offer another impressive Victorian Renaissance Revival Figural Basket / Compote.  The Compote is adorned with two Maiden Heads at each side of the top rim, and another four winged maidend as the stand the bowl is decorated with victorian design etching.  The basket has monogramm, please see photo.  When we started collecting Victorian Antique Items, the Greek/Renissance/Egyption Revival Figural items were highly desirable, and condition was much less critical, but we actually had hoped to redo the silverplate, but unfortunately the local silverplate facility moved away.

The Compote was crafted by the renowned Reed & Barton founded in 1824, and the patent was requested.  This item is extremely early based on the manufacturer marking, and it is very solid and heavy. I know the same compote is listed on eBay for more than $300. Please ask for any additional information or photos prior to purchase.

Estimated Measurements:  12.5" L x 7 " H  x 6.75" W

Sadly, we are liquidating our antique collection, and most of our items are being sold for at least 50% of the original price.  We invested more than $100K, and our loss is your gain.  Each of our items are sold "as is" as every item was previously owned. Our goal is to share everything we know about each item to the best of our ability. We over emphasize all/or questionable conditions that may exist.  We, also, inspect each item prior to listing and prior to shipment.

We rarely send offers.  So if you like this item, please don't wait for an offer, and please submit your offer.  We will consider all reasonable offers.
