The Sikta Spruce, Picea sitchensis, is the fifth largest conifer in the
world growing to 100 metres if you let it (but can be kept to any height
by pruning!) and can grow up to 4ft in a year
when planted in the ground. THESE SPRUCES LOVE WET CONDITIONS, even
swampy conditions and can be planted in half to full sun (not shade).
They are grown for their evergreen needles and also for the beautiful
cones which can be 2-4 inches in length.

April 2026). This is a pot grown picea so can be planted at any time of the
year, and is approx. 2.5ft (inc. pot) in a 3litre deep pot. You are buying one picea and it will be
supplied in its pot.
POSITION: Outdoors, in full or half sun only.
WATERING: If in a container, then water regularly in hot weather, otherwise does not need any watering in the ground.
SOIL: Any soil, Picea will survive in the poorest of soils, in heavy clay, sand, or chalk.
Please note that our shipping days are Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays only - due to the perishable nature of our plants, we do not ship over the weekend, so if you are ordering plants on a Thursday/Friday/Sat/Sun then your plants will be shipped on the Monday/ Tuesday following. If you are buying multiple plants, then please ignore invoices until finished purchasing, and await our combined invoice with discounted shipping.Very sorry, but we do not ship to N.Ireland, offshore Islands (inc.
