Areza Antibacterial alginate with silver (silver alginate or calcium alginate with silver) wound dressing pads absorb wound discharge and release silver (Ag) in the wound to help fighting with wound biofilm and infection. These wound dressing pads are made of natural alginate fibers derived from seaweed, and silver (Ag). THey also provides moist wound environment and moist wound therapy. Through addressing wound infection and moist wound management it may help promoting wound healing.

The silver in the dressing is released to the wound environment when the dressing absorbs wound discharge (also called wound exudate). The wound pad also forms a gel-like surface when it becomes moist. As long as the dressing is used in wounds with moderate to heavy discharge, this keeps the wound dressing from adhering to the wound and this makes the process of the dressing removal during the wound dressing change less likely to be painful.
