This pair comes from a recently acquired partial sneaker collection formerly owned by Jim Ancel, a well-known Baltimore-area construction company owner and collector provenance, recognized for assembling an elite sports memorabilia and sneaker archive reportedly valued in the millions. Jim Ancel's collection was featured in media coverage (SECRET LIVES OF THE SUPER RICH, FACEBOOK PAGE, 12/20/2018) highlighting rare, investment-grade sneakers and premium sports collectibles.

I purchased a portion of this collection and will be listing pairs individually. Many shoes from this acquisition were part of a carefully curated collection that Jim may have only worn once for a special occasion or not at all.....The sneakers were selected for rarity, historical significance, design, cultural impact and the collector's personal taste.  It was reported in the media coverage he spent thousands of dollars hiring artists to customize the shoes to his liking.
