This is a wonderful original Marks and Spencer eyeball lamp, in classic space age black and chrome. The fully adjustable neck pivots on a ball and socket joint allowing the light to be directed onto your work. Practical and in working order it has a heavy base, a long flex with switch.
Clearly labelled Marks and Spencer and with the European CE electrical safety mark. I can't find many examples online and believe it was probably originally purchased in the 1980s or 90s.
In VERY GOOD working vintage condition, with only minor signs of its age and past use. As you can see, it is in working order, the current wiring has a UK 3 pin plug, so will need an adapter for USA use and could have the plug changed if you wish to use it in the EU. It has no Earth wire so it will be easy to change to a 2-pin EU plug. If you are concerned about its safety, you should get it professionally tested.
