The Spitfire if probably the most famous aircraft of all time with an unmistakable shape. This is a 1/72nd plastic model kit (requires assembly) of a Supermarine Spitfire Mark XIX. One of the later versions and featured a Rolls Royce Gryphon engine instead of the Rolls Royce Merlin. 
The 'P.R.' in the title refers to 'Photo Reconnaiscance'. The RAF flew missions with Spitfires that were adapted for photographing potential enemy targets as well as the aftermath of bombings. The aircraft were equipped with special cameras - including 3D/stereo cameras - and were stripped of all armament to allow for maximum speed. 
They were painted a uniform sky-blue so as to blend in with the sky and flew at very high altitudes.
 
This is a finely detailed kit and builds into an accurate model of the famous plane. Finished model is approx 5.5" / 14cm in length.     
This kit is well engineered and fits togetehr well. It is suitable an eager beginner or intermnediate level modeller.

Polysterene cement is needed for construction (not included) and the model should be painted for best results. (paint not included) 
Cement and paints can be purchased from any decent model/hobby store or online.

The box is in good condition for a kit that is over 40 years of age.
