Materials: Copper alloy.
Presumed age: End of the 19th century or before.
Old Katanga cross, from the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Used until the early 1920s, these crosses were used as currency, particularly as a dowry for marriages.
The piece comes from an old French collection, the references of which will be provided to the best bidder.
