This is a decent violin made with a maple back with matched bookended pieces, maple sides, wide-grained spruce top, shows some extensive finish wear and some cracking of the finish, nice Maple neck with carved scroll, hand placed label inside with the Collins name. Estimated to be made between 1910 and 1920.


This is a great piece of Americana. And it will be shipped in a padded modern case. Very playable. Will need a new set of strings.
