Details
Description: A beautiful about uncirculated or better 1960 (1380 AH) five Egyptian milliemes Aluminum-Bronze coin. The obverse of the gold-colored coin depicts a standing eagle with a shield on its chest. The shield displays the tri-colored flag of the United Arab Republic which was red, white, and black with two green stars in the center. The stars stood for Egypt and Syria. The coin was struck during the time when Egypt and Syria formed the so called United Arab Republic. The coin is is lightly toned and has nice eye appeal. The coin is labeled (al-Gomhouryah al-Arabyah al-Mutahida) United Arab Republic and has the date as well as denomination on the reverse. It is KM-394 and weighs 3.7 grams and measures approximately 21 mm in diameter and has a plain edge. Please carefully review the scan as it is part and parcel of our description.
Date: 1960 AD - 1380 AH.
Mint: Egypt.
Size and weight: This is a five milliemes, weighs 3.7 grams and is ~21 mm in diameter.
References: It is KM #394.
Condition: I would grade this coin as a nice about uncirculated with all of its details being well preserved. The coin is toned or soiled, so it lost most of its luster, but shows very little wear if any at all. the fields are clean and show a minimum of surface marks if any at all. The coin is problem free and is just beautiful with great eye appeal. The coin is much better than the photos suggest. Please see photo for condition information.
