Statuette of the Ewe ethnic group, from Togo.
The Ewe are present from Ghana to Benin, via Togo. In the west, the Akan influence is identifiable, while in the east, we approach the Yoruba.
Representation of a twin in the classic Togo style. Charming face and expression. The patina attests to its age. The room was desecrated by a partial burn on the right arm.
