Mr. Baseball himself had another big inning Thursday night when some 200 prominent Philadelphians paid their respect to Connie Mack in recognition of his 46th consecutive season as manager of the Athletics and his 65th year in organized baseball. Mack here holds the Chamber of Commerce award while his sons congratulate him. They are, left to right, Earl, Connie, Jr., and Roy. Connie's Athletics are challenging the Indians. Dead.
