28 tooth rear sprocket to fit Shimano and Sturmey Archer coaster hubs. This is great for klunkers and cruisers. Made from 11 gauge STAINLESS STEEL (.118" thick). This sprocket fits 1/2 x1/8 chains only. This 28 tooth cog combined with a 46 or 52 front chain ring makes for a sweet easy riding cruiser. I run 46/28 on my old Schwinn and I cruise easy pedaling at about 8 mph, and can climb inclines and easy hills with no problem.
If you have a Klunker that you actually use for trail riding , this will make a HUGE difference in pedaling the trails and up the hills.
I laser cut these. They are not stamped! They have a brushed finish. These can really make riding those old cruisers so much easier.
(a longer chain will most likely be required for this sprocket to work. It will also increase the travel in the pedals before the brake engages or the drive engages due to the change of gear ratios. It will be about 1/4 of a full rotation of the pedals to engage.)
