I’ve spent over 25 years in paranormal investigation off and on, traveling across the U.S. Over that time, I’ve collected objects tied to unexplained activity—items I normally keep contained and handled with caution.

But Due to my health condition, I am letting a few of these pieces go.

This doll, known as “Jack,” is one of the few I’ve hesitated to let go.

I acquired it in Astoria, Oregon in 2010. A woman reached out to me through a local paranormal group chat, asking me to investigate disturbances in her home. When I arrived, she told me about a doll she had recently purchased at a yard sale. Almost immediately after bringing it home, the atmosphere in the house changed.

She described the presence attached to the doll as aggressive—something she believed to be a mean spirit. However, there was one unsettling exception: her 4-year-old daughter. The child claimed the spirit’s name was “Jack” and interacted with it as if it were a friend. She would sit and speak to the doll for long periods, laughing, whispering… responding to things no one else could hear.

During my time in the home, I didn’t witness anything visually manifest—but the energy was unmistakable. Heavy. Watching. The kind of presence that makes silence feel loud.

Shortly after my investigation, the woman asked me if i could  take the doll. She didn’t want it in her home anymore.

So i accepted and brought Jack the doll back with me and kept it stored among other contained items in my collection. Over the years, I’ve maintained distance and respect toward it. I will say this: it is not an object I ever treated lightly.
