*Removal Guideline:

1. Raise the vehicle.

2. Deflate and disable the air suspension system per manufacturer’s instructions.

3. Remove the applicable front wheel. (Figure 1)

4. Move the plastic bracket from the top of the strut tower to gain access to the air line and top mount nuts.
5. Disconnect the air fitting from the strut. (Figures 2, 3)

6. Disconnect the electrical connector from the strut. (Figure 4)

7. Remove the three top nuts from the strut. (Figures 5, 6)

8. Remove the two lower strut bolts. (Figure 7)

9. Disconnect the sway bar link at the lower control arm. (Figures 8, 9)

10. Remove the strut from the vehicle. (Figure 10)

Leaks are often the cause of a malfunctioning compressor. They can be found with a soap and water solution. Fixing these will prevent new compressor malfunctions down the line.

Can I install air suspension myself?

Our kits are designed for DIY people to easily and correctly install all the components if they follow our comprehensive instruction manuals. Anyone that can wire a stereo and swap suspension components has the required skills to complete a basic installation in their driveway over a weekend. However, some kits require frame modifications or welding where metal fabrication is necessary. This is NOT an area where a first-timer should learn those skills

Which side of my car is the Right and Left?

The right and left sides of an automobile are determined as if sitting in the car facing forward. Thus, the left side is on the left when sitting in the car facing forward, and the right side is on the right. For American cars, the driver’s side is on the left, and the passenger sits to the right of the driver. For cars in Japan, Britain, Ireland, the Bahamas and some other former British colonies -- where they drive on the left side of the road -- the passenger sits on the left side, and the driver (along with all the driving controls) is on the right.

How can I tell if my GM truck as Autoride?
GM vehicles have a sticker called the Service Parts Identification Label located in the glove compartment (for trucks & SUVs) that includes information such as the vehicle’s VIN, Wheel Base, Model designation and a list of the vehicle’s 3 digit/character RPOs or Regular Production Options which are the options that car comes with. The code Z55 is the RPO code which indicates the option of Autoride electronic suspension.
