Mogg's New Map of the ROADS / A New Travelling Map of ENGLAND, WALES and SCOTLAND; Drawn from all the Surveys, which have hitherto been made of particular Counties, Describing the Direct and principal Cross Roads, Cities, Boroughs, Market Towns and Villages, to which added The actual distance from one market Town to another, and exact admeasurement of each place from London - a large, original antique hand-coloured folding map of roads in England, Wales and Scotland, published by Edward Mogg, N 14 Great Russel Road, Covent Garden, London, in 1835. The map is in exceptionally good and clean condition, elaborately hand-coloured throughout and laid on linen, with original colour still very good and appealing, two corner sections laid on card-board and without the original slip-case, as shown. The map is highly detailed, with inset map of North of Scotland in upper right corner, and measures approximately 30 1/2 x 25 inches or 77 x 64 cm. A large and rare travelling Map of the Roads of England, Wales and Scotland from a famous map-maker in excellent condition.
