OVERVIEW

The Kumho Solus TA31 is a performance, all season tire manufactured for passenger vehicles and SUVs. It has some touring sizes as well. Kumho offers a 60,000 mile warranty with this model. Kumho covers this tire model and size with its Road Hazard Warranty. This warranty is available for tires damaged by road hazards within the first 12 months after the purchase date, or until the first 3/32” of the tire tread wears away, whichever comes first! If this tire sustains road hazard damage (typically caused by nails, glass, or potholes) on its tread area, customers have a right to use the Road Hazard warranty for a Tire Replacement of an equivalent Kumho tire. To receive the Road Hazard warranty, customers with damaged tires must file a claim with Kumho Tires.

The tire has exceptional all weather traction. The combination of the tire compound and the tread pattern increases the road grip in wet, dry and winter weather conditions. Even at high speeds, the tire keeps its road contact without fault. The four wide circumferential tread grooves help resist hydroplaning situations by eliminating water from below the tire footprint. The better traction and hydroplaning resistance make the tire safe to use all year round.

The wide shoulder tread blocks improve the controllability of the tire. It sharpens the steering responsiveness and accuracy by softening the contact edge and providing a larger road contact area. The better steering precision and response allows the driver to confidently control the tire in all weather conditions. The wide shoulder tread block design also further increases the traction and improves the tire's cornering ability and power. The better steering and cornering ability of the tire enhances its handling as well.

The advanced dual tire compound and the symmetric tread design lower the rolling resistance of the tire. The reduced rolling resistance allows the vehicle to lower its fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. This makes the tire more cost and fuel efficient, as it decreases the energy usage of the vehicle, while also being environmentally friendly.

The tire also offers extra comfort during the drive. The advanced dual compound and the internal structure of the tire work together to reduce the road vibrations felt in the cabin of the vehicle. The jointless bead bundle enables a precise tire-to-rim fit, which optimizes ride comfort by ensuring that the tire will keep its road contact at all times. In this manner the driving experience becomes more comfortable.

The Solus TA31 is an excellent high performance tire as it provides great durability. The reinforced internal structure with the jointless edge covers and the high tensile steel belt construction increase the high speed durability and maintain its shape under the high speed driving pressure. This offers extra safety at such speeds and allows the driver to confidently control the vehicle.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
