OVERVIEW

The Yokohama Advan S.T. (MO) is a high performance, summer tire manufactured for SUVs. This is the original equipment tire of select Mercedes-Benz vehicles models.

The tire promotes exceptional summer weather performance. The compound and the directional tread design improve the dry and wet weather road gripping ability. The minimalistic tread pattern enhances the dry traction, while the compound prevents heat build-up along the tire in summer weather temperatures. The tread's two wide circumferential grooves and numerous lateral grooves prevent hydroplaning. They channel water from the footprint and upgrade the wet weather performing safety.

The optimized tread design maintains the surface contact at all times. The directional tread's continuous center rib boosts the steering responsiveness and the driving stability with the better road contact. This enhances the steering response time and accuracy to the driver's commands, while the structure is stabilized against the driving pressure affecting the model. The durable construction, the optimal tread design and the heat-resistant compound work together to enhance the tire's driving safety levels. They ease the pressure off the tire and prevent heat build-up during the high speed performance, while also keeping the ideal tire shape at all times. In this manner, the tire is able to securely perform at high speeds.

The Advan S.T. (MO) boosts the maneuvering ability as well with utilizing the different tread elements. The tread's V-shaped wider shoulder blocks enhance the cornering capability. These tread blocks heighten the number of biting edges gripping the road surface at all times, ensuring the tire's better controllability. On the other hand, the better road-to-rubber ratio and the durable compound improve the braking ability. They create friction between the tire and road surface at the moment of braking, greatly shortening the braking distance. This results in the tire's better maneuverability, ensuring the driver's control over the vehicle at all times.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
