2024-25 Topps Chrome Basketball marks the company’s first pro hoops set of the season. Moving on from Victor Wembanyama, the checklist highlights members of the 2024 draft class as well as plenty of star veterans and some retired greats.
Hobby boxes include a pair of autographs.
The 2024-25 Topps Chrome Basketball base set has 200 cards. Active veterans take up the majority of spots, however there are nearly 50 rookies. A smattering of Hall of Famers are also part of the product’s foundation.
It’s Topps Chrome so that means Refractors and lots of them. The parallel rainbow includes more than 30 different versions for every base card. This includes several exclusives like various Geometric versions in breaker boxes.
Similar to 2023-24, this release is licensed by the NBA Players Association. However, Panini continues to hold the NBA exclusive until the fall. As a result 2024-25 Topps Chrome Basketball cards do not have any league logos or trademarks.
Signatures come in eight different themes. Topps Chrome Autographs, Topps Certified Autograph Issue Rookies, Sky-Light Signatures, Next Stop Signatures and 1973 Topps Autographs all carry sizeable checklists and similar odds.
Chromographs, Future Stars Autographs and a veteran-driven Topps Certified Autograph Issue are all exclusive to value blaster boxes and mega boxes.
Headlining the other inserts on the 2024-25 Topps Chrome Basketball checklist are short prints like Advisory, Dippers, Helix, Let’s Go!, Radiating Rookies, Rock Stars, Ultra Violet All-Stars and the fire die-cut 451.
As far as more common sets that are retail-only, collectors can hunt for Fresh Start, Show and Tell, Countdown Complete, Film Study and Ball of Duty.

The fine print: Please read the entire listing before purchasing. All cards shipped via USPS. Hits will be in top-loaders, rookies will at minimum be sleeved, all other cards will ship in a team bag. If nobody has 51% of the teams associated with the card, we will use random.org at the end of the break to determine the winner. This listing is not for a specific pack, box or case of cards or memorabilia. There is No Guarantee we will pull a specific card or player, just something from the team you purchase. Pictures in this listing may include images that represent cards or other items which may be available overall in the live break, but do not offer, promise, guarantee or otherwise imply the specific card(s) or other item(s) will be pulled in this break or any future breaks. If there is a card pulled that does not have an auction spot, we will use random.org to randomize the card to all auction spots for this break. If a retired player is pulled, we will award it to the team on the card. If no team is on the card, it will be the jersey they are wearing in the picture, then the team they spent time with the longest (if it comes to that). Please, no e-checks, as other buyers will not want to wait for your payment to clear before we can start the break. If a buyer fails to pay on time, their team(s) will be offered up to the group before the start of the break. In the event of a power loss and/or loss of internet service, the show will be put on pause and communication will go out to each winner about when the show picks back up. Refunds are not issued in this case. Bakersfield Hobby cannot assure the claims made by the product companies on their hit guarantees. For instance: If a specific brand claims that there are two autographs/box and we only pull one, this is not grounds for a refund from Bakersfield Hobby.
