Lenk, Detroit, MI, overall winner of the Sixth Thousand Island Outboard Marathon today, is shown tearing down a motor after the race. He covered the 100-mile St. Lawrence river course in 1 hour, 53 minutes, 36 seconds. His 48 mph pace just missed the 48.72 record of 1957. More than 60,000 fans watched 71 boats race.Photo measures 8.25 x 10inches. Photo is dated 06-12-1960.
