Vintage Japanese porcelain figural bell by Toshikane, Arita, depicting Benzaiten - one of the seven lucky gods associated with music, beauty and the arts.

This finely detailed piece features Benzaiten holding a traditional biwa or flute, with delicate hand painted decoration and gilt highlights.  The bell retains its original clapper and produces a gentle tone when rung.

Produced in the mid 20th century (circa 1950s - 1970s).  Toshikane pieces are well regarded for their Akita porcelain and collectible figural designs.

Good vintage condition with no visible cracks or chips.  Not boxed.
