The Dark Age: Feudal Lords CCG Display Boxes by FPG Games are a vintage collectable featuring standard-sized cards in English language. These displays from 1996 contain 36 limited edition booster packs making it a sought-after item for collectors and players alike. With artwork by Gerald Brom, amongst others and manufactured in the United States, these box displays offers a nostalgic glimpse into the world of collectable card games.
Both displays contain 36 new and sealed booster packs, although the boxes have varying amounts of damage. One is missing the opening flap/ lid and the box divider has come unstuck. The other has glue that has come unstuck on one side (please refer to photos).
Also, I'm including a complete unused, but open Limited Edition Starter Deck and 1 extra sealed Booster Pack. Please refer to photos for condition. These boosters are in short supply now and these are the last of the ones I have. Don't miss this opportunity to get your collection started or add to yours!
I am also going to be selling the rest of my Dark Age: Feudal Lords collection of promos and foil single cards - so please keep checking out my other items.
Brief overview of how the game plays: "Get a band of mercenaries together and go beat up someone else's band of mercenaries.
You must first spend resource points to try and sway mercs to fight for you. You then arm them to the teeth and give them skills. Each character has a life value (how much damage it can take), a control value (used to recruit the person), a skill number (max amount of skills that can be played on the person), a weapon number (quantity of weapons that may be carried) and combat strings.
The combat is quite involved and owes more to miniature gaming than to card games. First you roll for ranged attacks and compare rolls to your DF string. Each roll that meets or exceeds a number of the string hits so it possible to score multiple hits with one combatant. The defender then gets to fire back in the same manner. After DF is resolved you go to Close Combat. Close combat is handled much the same way except you also have a blocking string so it is possible to block hits.
Special mention must be made of the artwork on the cards. It is stunning."
