Body from one piece or glued?
Guitarists around the world often ask about the difference between a one-piece body and a body glued from two pieces. The overwhelming majority claim that there is no difference in sound. A one-piece body may be aesthetically more pleasing to some, while others find artistic beauty in the symmetry of a two-piece body.
In our opinion, the concept of beauty is individual for everyone. However, what is certain is that a one-piece body is more expensive and carries the significant risk of warping over time.
Which wood for the guitar body, ash, mahogany, or alder?
