This item is for ONE of two framed pictures shown in my illustration.      Or the winning bidder may double the winning price and take both (but same shipping cost whether one or both).          These are cloth pictures, that is, textiles.     The scenes are of the traditional Indian miniature type.    I don't know the material or method but I think they are silk.    I'm not at all sure how they were done but my best guess from looking is that they were woven as scenes.     In any event, they are not at all faded -- just as bright as they were when I first got them nearly 20 years ago -- so I don't think it's anything "painted" on.       The work is quite delicate and fine, as the pictures probably show, at least to some degree.     Both are very nicely framed and they make a natural pair although I'd sell one alone if  need be (but strongly recommend the pair and am therefore making shipping cost the same whether the winning bidder takes one or both.)       SIZE is approximately 6" x 10" for the openings, that is, the pictures themselves and 12" x 17" for the framed pieces overall.      My picture show the two being held outside on a nice day so the detail is perhaps not as good as it might be but the pair give a good sense of the items.     They certainly are very nice looking, whatever they might be.    Very careful packaging since they are under glass and the frames are in essentially mint condition.
