This is an original press photo. Sliding in safely, Danny O'Connell, Braves second baseman, reaches second base on his double to right field against the Brooklyn Dodgers in the sixth inning of their opening exhibition baseball game at Miami, Florida, Thursday night. Making a stab at him is Don Zimmer, Brooklyn shortstop. The umpire is Stan Landes, Milwaukee man who is up from the American association. The Dodgers won, 3-2, scoring three runs in the eighth inning off Chet Nichols. The teams will meet again at Miami Friday night. Milwaukee Braves - Exhibition Games - 1955.
