The female carafe has a tiny chip on the rim and one on the inner part of the stopper and is water marked.

The male carafe has a crack on the neck ( this cannot be felt to the touch ), there are a couple of rough to the touch bits on the hands . The inner part of the stopper has a chip and the carafe has water marks.
