Very nice Kenwood KT-5300 tuner. I found a much better looking tuning knob for the front so I updated the pictures. Use pictures to judge the cosmetic condition. $125 OBO.

Everything works as it should on the unit including the lights. The video shows the tuning meter pulling in stations. It wasn't hooked up to the receiver at the time. Everything I sell functions as it should unless disclosed in the listing. I have been packing electronics for a long time and will make sure it's packaged well.

Why buy from me? I’ve been selling vintage audio gear for over 20 years, much more since I retired. I’m very picky and I would not sell anything I wouldn’t use in its current state. Example: I had a killer Fisher tube amp for sale. After advertising it I started getting a faint crackle or hiss from the phono stage and took the listing down. The unit is with my tech.

Every piece I sell is inspected (and I know what to look for), cleaned and refurbished as needed to bring it to factory specifications. I start with the refurbishing and if the repair is too complex for me it goes to the tech. I don’t give out his name because he’s swamped with equipment and has maybe 20 projects sitting around. He does everything, isolates problems on the circuit boards and replaces any caps or diodes or resistors, or jumpers or heat regulators or whatever. He usually has the equipment for months yet when I get it back, it’s perfect.

He doesn’t provide a detailed list of what he does and I don’t ask. Thank you for reading this. So many people advertise gear as working yet have no resources to check everything. As much care as I take with this equipment 50 year old electronics are fragile and it can still fail. This can’t be predicted. Check my reviews on FB or eBay and you’ll see I’m trustworthy. My gear can be higher than others yet, there’s a good reason. I work had to find the good stuff!!

Refurbished – getting the gear functional to factory specifications with a rebuild

Rebuilt or Recapped – just as it says, new caps and what’s provided to replace from a rebuild kit.
