The TIME-SERT® M8 × 1.25 Thread Repair Kit provides a permanent, professional solution for repairing stripped or damaged metric threads. Using solid steel bushing inserts with a positive flange design, this system restores threads to original strength while preventing insert movement under load, vibration, or heat. Supplied as a complete tap–drill–bore system, it is ideal for automotive, engineering, and industrial applications.

TIME-SERT® inserts are solid steel bushings rather than wire coils, providing full load-bearing capability and long-term durability.
Integrated top flange ensures accurate positioning and prevents the insert from winding down into the repaired hole.
During installation, the bottom internal threads are cold-rolled to expand the insert into the base material, permanently locking it in place.
Repairs are equivalent to original threads in most applications, offering excellent resistance to stress and vibration.

Tear-out strength varies depending on base material, wall thickness and edge distance; therefore no universal value can be specified. Laboratory testing has shown TIME-SERT® repairs to be equivalent to original threads in most applications. Always follow correct installation procedures and use suitable cutting lubricant during drilling and tapping.
