OVERVIEW

The Cooper Discoverer HT3 is a highway terrain, all season tire manufactured for commercial vans. This model has some special trailer sizes available as well. Cooper offers a 50,000 mile treadwear warranty with this tire model.

The tire promotes great all weather traction. The special symmetric tread design with the 3D micro-gauge siping detail boosts the dry, wet and winter weather traction. The tread elements manage to firmly grip the road surface all year round, guaranteeing a safer year round performance. The silica-infused compound also boosts the all weather traction as it maintains its flexibility even in wet and colder temperature winter weather. The tread design's four wide circumferential grooves effectively resist hydroplaning by eliminating water and slush from below the tire's footprint. The enhanced hydroplaning resistance and all weather traction boost the model's performing capability.

The model has great durability and a longer lasting tread life. The internal structure features two reinforced high-tensile steel belts and a safer polyester casing manages to boost the model's durability. They work together to resist the pressure affecting the tires and, in this manner, to maintain the tire's optimal shape. The model does not deform under the driving pressure affecting it, which enables it to keeps its optimal road contact at all times. The maintained road contact and the special closed continuous shoulder ribs evenly distribute the driving pressure across the tread area. The equally spread out force of acceleration, cornering and braking manage to prevent irregular tread wear formations along the tire's surface, offering a lengthened tread life and usability.

The constant road contact and the optimized tread elements enhance the tire's controllability. The interlocking tread elements firmly grip the road surface in all weather. The better road contact boosts the steering responsiveness and driving stability. As a result, the steering is faster and more precise in its responsiveness to the driver's commands, while the structure is stabilized against the driving pressure affecting the tires. The continuous shoulder ribs improve the cornering ability and power by heightening the number of biting edges needed for a secure maneuvering. The better controllability guarantees a secure driving experience.

The Discoverer HT3 offers a fuel efficient drive. The combination of the stronger construction and the silica compound eases the driving pressure off the tire, effectively decreasing the rolling resistance. The rolling resistance is the force affecting the tires that determine how much energy the vehicle needs to maintain the tire's motion. The reduced rolling resistance in turn lessens the vehicle's fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, making the tire environmentally friendly and fuel efficient at the same time.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
