Children's Watermelon Pique Heirloom Fabric

White with ¾" Watermelon Slices

For your consideration is a two-continuous-yard piece of heirloom-style pique (?) tiny-corded fabric.  It is 59" wide; white background with ¾" tossed watermelon slices.  I believe this was purchased at an heirloom sewing store, as I purchased it some years ago at an auction of a smocking / heirloom sewing lady.  I'm not positive exactly what this fabric is called; it's like tiny baby cords, but it's not corduroy.  It's a medium-weight cotton fabric, suitable for a little girl's dress or jumper.  It is soft and very fine feeling.

* * The fabric may look lighter or darker in some areas due to the uneven lighting in the area where I take photos.  Fabric coloring is all even, as it should be.

Fabric is in excellent condition, very clean, no smells.  This has been kept in my always-climate-controlled home since I purchased it.  From a smoke-free home.
