This 1959 Chevrolet Impala Convertible is an absolutely stunning, bone stock, and frame-off restored ragtop Impala that is absolutely loaded with options! Widely regarded as one of the most iconic American cars ever produced, the '59 Impala represents the moment Chevrolet elevated the Impala from a Bel Air trim level into its own standalone, top-of-the-line model-instantly cementing its place in automotive history. Introduced for the 1959 model year, the Chevrolet Impala received a dramatic redesign that set it apart from anything else on the road. From nose to tail, the car showcased bold late-1950s styling, including flatter, wider body lines, jet-inspired hood accents, exclusive Impala beltline trim, and futuristic front and rear bumpers. Most memorable are the enlarged rear quarters with soaring "seagull" fins and the unmistakable one-year-only "Cat Eye" taillights that have become synonymous with the legendary '59

Vehicle Description

Most memorable are the enlarged rear quarters with soaring "seagull" fins and the unmistakable one-year-only "Cat Eye" taillights that have become synonymous with the legendary '59 Impala. This particular '59 Impala Convertible comes to us from collector who reportedly owned and stewarded this car for quite some time. Powering this '59 Impala is a "Turbo-Thrust" 348 cubic inch Chevrolet Big Block V8 fed by a single 4 barrel carburetor that together were said to have produced 250 horsepower when new. Exhaust exits the W-Series Chevy Big Block via a dual exhaust setup that produces a wonderful sound out the tailpipes especially when you're cruising down the road. The 348 V8 is backed by an upgraded TH350 Automatic transmission that makes this classic Impala Convertible a car that anybody can drive with ease. This 1959 Chevy Impala comes absolutely LOADED with options! To start, power steering makes squeezing into a tight parking space at the local car show an absolute one-handed breeze and the overall driving experience is much more enjoyable. Further assisting with challenging parking efforts as well as occasional lane changes are a pair of chrome outside mirrors that provide improved visibility alongside this impressive ride. Power brakes is another fantastic feature on this 1959 Impala since it makes bringing this 3,600+ pound Convertible to a complete stop much easier as well. This '59 Impala floats down the road on a set of wide whitewall tires, accented with polished Spinner wheel covers, giving the car a fantastic look whether you're parked at the local car show or going on a relaxing Sunday cruise. Additionally, the rear-mounted Continental Wheel Carrier Kit not only holds a spare tire should you need it but also adds tons of 50's flair to an already eye-catching Chevy. The ivory vinyl power convertible top is in fantastic condition, easily raised and lowered with the simple flick of a switch. Furthermore, when the power convertible top is in the lowered position (as it should be most of the time), it tucks neatly below a color-matched convertible boot that is brand new. The exterior of this '59 Chevy Impala has been refinished in beautiful Roman Red paint, completing the wonderful outside appearance of this fantastic vintage collector car. The interior of this 1959 Chevrolet Impala Convertible looks brand new and is drop dead gorgeous! The front and rear seats have been recently reupholstered in Red "leather-soft" vinyl with silver piping accents and of course feature the iconic Tri-Color cloth inserts that really jazz up the interior look of the car. The matching red door panels, brand new red carpeting, matching custom embroidered floor mats, Roman Red dash, and steering wheel all appear to be in wonderful condition as well and all of which remain in nice stock configuration. As you can expect on a car of this caliber, the interior also comes absolutely loaded with options! The front and rear windows, as well as both vent windows, are all opened and closed with ease since they're all power windows allowing you and your passengers to easily control their comfort. Additionally, this 1959 Impala comes outfitted with the optional and rarely seen "Flexomatic" 6-way adjustable power seat that allows you to tilt the seat, raise and lower it, and move it forward and backwards, with the simple flick of a switch. Moreover, mounted atop the instrument cluster is an optional Autronic Eye that automates the selection of the high and low beam headlights. Another extremely rare option on this 1959 Impala is a factory "Speedminder" which allows you to set your desired cruising speed and then alerts you when you exceed the set speed via a red warning light. You'll also be able to listen to all of your 50s tunes while cruising down the road thanks to the optional Custom Deluxe Push-Button AM Radio. The Instrument panel remains in its stock configuration and comes equipped with a 120 MPH speedometer, temperature gauge, and gasoline gauge, as well as a clock and indicator lights for the generator and oil pressure. The dash is finished off with controls for the wipers, lights, and heater/defroster, as well as a locking glovebox and accessory under-dash tissue box holder. Whether you already have a herd of Impalas in your garage or you're buying your very first classic car, this 1959 Chevrolet Impala Convertible would make an excellent choice.
