Antique Oval Portrait in Decorative Wooden

Frame Signed but I'm unsure who the author is. Hand-painted oval portrait of a woman. Set within a decorative wooden frame with ornate floral motifs and gesso accents. Frame and backing show wear, with loss to gesso and visible aging to materials. The back panel has stains and tears, indicative of age. Unfortunately as seem there is damage but thought maybe someone could bring it back to life. It's absolutely beautiful despite the existing damage.
