Your bid in this auction is for the pictured 1943 model year (a “+” symbol is the date code) Bulova gents / unisex 26.0mm diameter classic round shaped wristwatch that is complete minus the full sweep second hand.  That’s right, this watch is one of the rare World War 2 era Civilian models and likely purp ose made for doctors to wear as the full sweep hand allowed for easy timing of short interval events.  The case of this watch has 10K Rolled Gold Plated yellow gold over STERLING SILVER as the main ingredient of the bezel- more proof that this is war time production!  The normal “base metal” of brass was being commandeered for munitions production, so many watch companies opted for the more expensive sterling silver as a base metal from 1942-46.  The case on this watch does have a fair patina on it that involves some darkening and clouding of the yellow gold plated finish.  That is not to say that this watch would not clean up with some polishing- it’s essentially the same as the “Must de” that had gold plated over sterling silver all the time.  The movement here is a Bulova 10AK with 17 Jewels that will tick a few seconds in all four dial positions but will not stay running beyond that.  The applied full sweep second hand module appears to be complete.  The case serial number on this one is 3082541.  Lug width is 14.4mm.  NO RESERVE!!
