Function:
The universal indexing head is a machine tool accessory mounted on a milling machine to divide a workpiece into any number of equal sections. Using the indexing scale ring and vernier, locating pins, indexing plate, and indexing gears, it divides workpieces clamped between centers or in a chuck into arbitrary angles and divides the circumference into arbitrary equal parts.
