Function: The universal indexing head is a machine tool accessory mounted on a milling machine to divide a workpiece into any number of equal sections. Using the indexing scale ring and vernier, locating pins, indexing plate, and indexing gears, it divides workpieces clamped between centers or in a chuck into arbitrary angles and divides the circumference into arbitrary equal parts. It assists the machine tool in machining various grooves, spur gears, helical spur gears, Archimedean spiral cams, and other components using various shapes of cutting tools.
Main Functions: 1. Capable of dividing a workpiece into arbitrary equal circular segments or indexing by linear displacement. 2. Allows the workpiece to be clamped at the required angle (vertical, horizontal, or inclined).
